Height to the top of the hinge is 69.75 inches and to the top of the case 68.625 inches. Depth is 33.375 inches without the handles and 29 inches with the doors removed entirely. GE’s product page lists total capacity as 27.0 cu. ft., divided into 18.82 cu. ft. of fresh food space and 8.17 cu. ft. of freezer space, and lists the unit at 308 lbs net (332.2 lbs approximate shipping weight).

For planning a cutout or recess, the key numbers are the 35.75-inch width and the 35.875-inch full depth. With a fresh food door opened 90 degrees, the required width grows to 43.75 inches including the door handle, and the total depth reaches 48.375 inches — the figure that matters for islands or walls opposite the refrigerator.

GE’s air clearance recommendations, stated identically on the specification sheet and in the owner’s manual, are: 1/8 inch at each side, 1 inch at the top, and 2 inches at the back. The 27 cu. ft. capacity puts this model one step below the two larger French door units already in the dataset — the 28 cu. ft. Samsung RF28R6201SR and the 29 cu. ft. LG LRFWS2906S — while its 35.875-inch depth with handles is the shallowest of the three (36 inches for the Samsung, 36.25 inches for the LG). All three share the same 35.75-inch width standard for the nominal 36-inch class. One verification note: GE’s own documents contain two minor internal inconsistencies. The product page spec table lists “Depth with Door Open 90°” as 43.75 inches, duplicating the width figure, while the dimension diagram on the specification sheet shows 48-3/8 inches for that measurement — the diagram value is used here. Separately, one duplicated table in the December 2024 revision of the specification sheet shows depth with handles as 37-7/8 inches, while the GNE27JYMFS product page, the February 2020 and January 2021 sheet revisions, and the second table in the same December 2024 document all show 35-7/8 inches, which is the value used here.
